It boasts three World Heritage sites in the Tower of London, home of the Crown Jewels, the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew and maritime Greenwich, site of the prime meridian, where you can stand with one foot in the western hemisphere and one in the east.

Other world-famous sights include Buckingham Palace and the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey and St Paul’s Cathedral, and the British Museum and the National Gallery which were the most popular visitor attractions in London in 2015.
